Located in Glencoe, Scotland
October 19th – 23rd, 2025
Renowned for its dramatic scenery, Glencoe is a paradise for art photographers, offering a blend of rugged mountains, serene lochs, and atmospheric mists that inspire creativity at every turn. In this Masterclass workshop, you will have ample opportunities to create images that are a vision beyond documentation.
Explore iconic locations such as the Three Sisters of Glencoe, their steep ridges, and cascading waterfalls, creating perfect compositions. Visit the hauntingly beautiful Loch Leven, where early morning fog transforms the waters into a painterly dreamscape. Venture into the boglands along the lochs, where the interplay of golden grasses and reflective pools adds texture and depth to your images.
This landscape is alive with mood and mystery. Autumn’s golden hues mingle with the ever-present clouds, shifting light, and fleeting rainbows while the soft veil of mist cloaks the valley, creating opportunities for atmospheric storytelling.
With three expert instructors to guide you, you’ll master techniques to capture the area’s elusive magic, from the interplay of light and shadow on Buachaille Etive Mòr to the intricate details of moss-covered rocks and winding rivers.
Designed for art photographers seeking to elevate their craft, this masterclass will immerse you in one of Scotland’s most enchanting landscapes, fostering both technical growth and artistic vision.
You need to arrive in Bridge of Orchy, Scotland, on October 19th.
The class begins on Monday, the 20th, and ends late in the evening on the 23rd. You should plan to leave for home or the next destination of your choice on the 24th. More details about your itinerary are further on.

The first couple of years were tough, and Karl took on all aspects of photography, from Weddings to Commercials to Sports. He has been published in several magazines and has tutored all around the UK for the German Magazine Fotomag.
