Easy: You should be able to walk for a mile at a casual pace with a mild to moderate incline on paved or improved trails with minor obstructions at a maximum altitude of 3,000 feet above sea level.
Creative Locations
Your Masterclass explores these locations: Castle Trail, Fossil Path Overlook, Mounds and Stack Pinnacle of from Big Badlands Overlook, North Road Ranch project, Scenic Ghost Town, Big Basin Overlook, Sage Road, Night Shoot on Sage Road Overlook, Buffalo Grass Lands, Yellow Mounds, Cottonwood Ghost Town. We select locations based on access, weather, optimum lighting times, and safety considerations prevalent at the time of the class. We provide safe travel with 4×4 vehicles.
Operating Information
We position our class at meaningful but not often scene locations with the best possible light in the mornings and late afternoon. We also scheduled some mid-day capture sessions for appropriate landscape art training. Our post-production schedules are during the mid-day hours in classroom facilities.
National Park Photography Expeditions is a licensed education provider by the National Park Service.

What to Bring
Please see our page on how to prepare for your workshop. We will send you a detailed information document 60-90 days before your workshop. This document will include specifics of where and when to meet, gear, clothing recommendations, and more.
What's Included
- All permits and BLM fees.
- All 4x4 and other ground transportation during the workshop.
- Photographic guidance and instruction from Adobe-qualified art photography instructors.
- 5-7 Field Locations for extensive capture assignments and landscape art classes.
- Approximately 9 hours of Adobe Creative Segmentation post-production training for expressive landscape art photography
- 3 hours of follow-up online post-production training after you arrive home

- Meals or accommodations.

- Travel Medical and Trip Cancellation Insurance (optional but recommended).
