2016 was the first year for National Park Photographic Expeditions, and the feedback from our students and National Park Service partners tell us that the Landscape Master Class Workshops were a success. We completed programs in Mojave National Preserve (with California Center for Digital Arts), Capitol Reef National Park, Sequoia National Park, and Lassen Volcanic National Park. From deep canyon heat in Capitol Reef to an early snowfall in Lassen, our photographers experienced numerous, ‘ah ha’ moments as each of them began to master the art of landscape composition and the value of previsualization. Students especially raved about the end to end workflow that they accomplished with the expert post-processing classes. It was in these classes that students connected technology to creative seeing which expanded their vision beyond documentation.

2017 is even more exciting as we add five new parks to our Master Class Expedition Workshop Calendar; Olympic National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Park, Big Bend National Park, and Kings Canyon National Park. We are also adding new learning tools; creative juice cards, post-production guides, improved focus points, and previsualization exercises for each park.

So, select your park, join us for a 5-day Photographic Expedition, and enjoy an experience that will last a lifetime.
